HCG for Losing Weight
Is the HCG diet a safe, healthy, and effective way to lose weight? Or is it a trick, unhealthy, or even unsafe method that does not help its followers achieve long-term weight loss? Many experts believe that the HCG diet (combining a very low daily calorie intake with hCG hormone intake) is an effective way to lose weight.
The HCG diet has two key components: One is to limit the intake of 500 to 800 calories per day. The dietary regimen emphasizes protein from lean meat, fish, and poultry, as well as a small number of carbohydrates or milk and moderate vegetables and fruits. Another component is the injection or oral administration of hCG into the body.
How the HCG diet works
ATW Simeons, who formulated the diet, outlined the typical hCG diet in the 1954 book “Pounds and Inches: A New Way to Obesity”. Many nutritionists have emphasized the importance of eating a healthy breakfast, but under the regimen developed by Simeons, there is no solid food before lunch. If the dieter eats breakfast, it is usually a cup of sugar-free black coffee or tea. If you drink milk, you can drink one tablespoon every 24 hours.
Combined with a diet plan, the hCG diet requires daily injections of hormones. Dieters usually inject HCG into the thigh. Alternatively, people on the hCG diet can take the hormones through oral HCG drops, pills, sprays, etc.
